President & CEO
Joan Chypyha has 25 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in Canada in sales, marketing, business development and general management. Prior to founding Alto Pharmaceuticals, Joan was Chief Commercial and BD Officer at Rhei Pharmaceuticals Ltd., a company focused on bringing western pharmaceuticals and technologies to China. Prior to joining Rhei Joan was the General Manager of Barrier Therapeutics in Canada where she successfully built and managed the Canadian subsidiary until its acquisition by Stiefel in 2008. Before joining Barrier Therapeutics Joan spent 15 years at Hoffmann La Roche in various capacities including sales, marketing, business development and senior management.
Director of Clinical & Medical Affairs
Lynne Bulger has 30 years of experience in drug development in the pharmaceutical industry, conducting clinical research and providing strategic medical marketing support in dermatology, rheumatology, osteoporosis and CNS. Ms. Bulger was Global Vice President Medical and Clinical Affairs for Cipher Pharmaceuticals, Director of Medical Affairs at GSK, Director of Medical Affairs at Stiefel Laboratories, Director Medical and Regulatory Affairs at Barrier Therapeutics and Director Medical Affairs at Hoffman-La Roche. She served as President of the Canadian Dermatology Industry Association from 2005 to 2008.
Norman Evans is the former Chief Financial Officer of Cipher Pharmaceuticals Inc., a Canadian publicly-listed pharmaceutical company. He was the CFO at Cipher from March 2007 to September 2016 when he retired. He is a Chartered Accountant with over 35 years of business experience including financial reporting, direction of financial organizations and mergers & acquisitions. Prior to his work at Cipher, from 1996 to 2007, Mr. Evans was Vice-President, Finance at MDS Pharma Services, a multi-national pharmaceutical services company, and prior to that was a partner at Ernst & Young Inc. Norm received a B.Sc. from Concordia University in Montreal and received his Canadian Chartered Accountant designation in 1980. He currently serves as an independent director and Chair of the Audit Committee of Skkynet Cloud Systems, Inc. (“Skkynet”), a public company listed on the OTCQB exchange in the US. Skkynet provides real-time data connectivity solutions for industrial, embedded, and financial systems. Skkynet offers a unique and patented communication model that allows data-intensive organizations to safely and securely manage, supervise, and control their assets locally and remotely.
Chief Information Officer
Jameson Lee has extensive experience leading in the technology industry. Prior to joining Alto Pharmaceuticals Jameson successfully operated in lead roles for Apple, NASA, and the US Army Corp of Engineers. During his time working in the technology industry Jameson has a demonstrated history of success, and has received distinction for his work.
